Well, it took a while, but we're here. Casimir Funk. And don't get the spelling wrong. It's C-a-s-i-m-i-r Funk. Cashmere is a fabric. The name of the band was thought up by James. (The bassist) Casimir Funk is actually the name of an old mysterious scientist who discovered vitamins. That's right, google it. He existed at one time. As strange or amazing as it is, or was, his last name as we understand was actually Funk. I'd love to meet his parents if they were amazing enough to name their son Casimir Funk.

Who's in the band?

Casimir Funk consists of only three members. That would be John McNamara, Tristan Blomquist, and James Bolus. On guitar and lead vocals is John, On Bass and the other lead vocals is James, and on the drums is Tristan. We think it's better if we stay with only three people. Why you say? Because we don't feel like dealing with other peoples shit. In other words, we think more people in the band would only complicate things and we would end up fighting and breaking up. That would suck.

What type of music are you?

Don't ask me that.

Where do you guys play?

We play in Pennsylvania. We mainly play in and around Factoryville. Around that area. We wouldn't mind though to play a ways out of the area though. Pretty much, if you give us a show, we'll most likely be there no matter where or when it is. If it's in Pennsylvania, then it's most deffinately happening.
What can I expect at a show of yours?

Well, like the question concerning what kind of music we play, I have no clue how to answer that one. You see, we almost never do the samething twice. I mean, of course the music is the same most of the time, but we change it up every time we play out.
For instance, last Battle of the Bands that we played at, we opened up with the Starwars theme song wearing the Darth Vador helmit. We may not do that again. We also like to involve the audience as much as ever possible. This isn't about us, it's about you. Originality is our main goal. We like to make it so that the audience doesn't know what to expect at our next show, and the next, and the next.
